I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who takes great pride in offering counseling services to individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life's challenges. If you or a family member is dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, or relationship difficulties, or if you are facing significant life changes and seeking meaning and identity, I would be honored to provide mental health support. I also enjoy assisting couples through premarital counseling and helping those looking to strengthen their relationships.
Recognizing that none of us exists in a vacuum, my therapeutic approach is rooted in a systems perspective, understanding that our strengths and challenges are influenced by our relationships. I utilize various methods drawn from structural and strategic models of family therapy, as well as narrative therapy, while incorporating techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, and solution-focused strategies.
I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in Wildlife and Fisheries Science and have experience in natural resource management and the outdoor industry. I completed my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, along with a graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy, at Richmont Graduate University in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
As a Knoxville native, I spend my free time with my wife and two sons, enjoying activities such as hiking, fishing, paddling, and exploring the beauty of this incredible area.
