Hello, I am...

Matthew “Matt” Gumb, LPC/MHSP, LCMHC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor–Mental Health Service Provider (LPC/MHSP) in Tennessee and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina. I graduated from Pace University in New York in 2014. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of clinical settings, including residential treatment programs, intensive in-home services, school-based counseling, and outpatient therapy.

My passion lies in helping individuals overcome Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I have specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that healing begins with reconnecting to one’s authentic self and living by one’s values. I work collaboratively with my clients to support them in living life on their own terms—not on OCD’s.

I am also on the board of OCD Tennessee, which is a nonprofit affiliate of the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation (IOCDF). Our mission is to ensure that no one affected by OCD and related disorders suffers alone by spreading awareness and providing local resources in Tennessee.
