Hello, I am...

Erin Wells, DNP, PMHNP

Hello! I am Dr. Erin Wells, a nurse practitioner with a Doctorate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (Go VOLS!)

I provide consultation services, as well as evaluation, treatment, and medication management of ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood and behavioral disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Populations I enjoy working with include neurodivergent patients of all ages, as well as professional healthcare workers. I have a particular interest and experience with those struggling with big life transitions, such as adolescents heading into early adulthood, new mothers, and perimenopausal women.

I utilize a functional medicine approach, providing personalized, patient-centered care. Much of the work I do with my patients revolves around exploring any physiological complications that could be contributing to behavioral and emotional issues. I enjoy working with my patients to create a holistic, well-rounded plan that works with their lifestyles and priorities, incorporating any health issues they have into a mind-body approach.

My professional background includes work in the research field as well as critical care and psychiatric nursing, which gives me a unique perspective on the mind-body connection. My doctoral training focused on adolescents with ADHD transitioning to adulthood, and the additional complexities and difficulties that can arise for neurodivergent people across the lifespan.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family in nature, reading, caring for my houseplants, and hanging out with my menagerie of animals: one dog, four cats, two turtles, and lots of fish.
