SPACE CATS -Parent and Child Anxiety Groups

SPACE CATS -Parent and Child Anxiety Groups

SPACE CATS -Parent and Child Anxiety Groups

We are offering a group for parents and their kids (7-12 y/o) struggling from anxiety. These are two different groups that will run simultaneously on Tuesdays from 5:30-7pm for 8 consecutive weeks starting January 6 - February 24, 2026. It’s $1,600, which comes out to $100 for the kids and $100 for the parent group for a 90-minute evidence-based treatment. We can provide superbills for insurance reimbursement!

Dr. Charles Galyon and Dr. Arianna Boddy will run the parent group using Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (S.P.A.C.E.) Dr. Christina Kamien and Mr. Matt Gumb will use Coping Cat. Kids and caregivers must participate together to get the most out of treatment.

About SPACE CATS

SPACE CATS -Parent and Child Anxiety Groups

SPACE CATS -Parent and Child Anxiety Groups

A program designed to help anxious children and their parents simultaneously. The program uses the Yale-Developed SPACE Program and the evidence-based Coping Cat program for children.

SPACE has been shown to significantly reduce problematic anxious child behaviors, build child confidence and resilience, and reduce parental stress. The program was developed at Yale by Eli Lebowitz and requires specialized clinician training.

The Coping Cat program for children is a long-standing program for helping children learn how to confidently confront their anxiety, respond in ways that are more beneficial, and develop personal resilience.

In this 8-week program, parents will learn how to support their children and produce effective changes, while children will learn how to accept and regulate their anxious emotions!
