Mental Health Therapy with Dr. Jaima E. Walton

Caring Knoxville Mental Health Professional

Meet Dr. Walton

I am passionate about clinical psychology and appreciate the opportunity to join you in therapy to overcome your current challenges and plan for future success. I strive to understand and be sensitive to the unique differences of individuals and families I meet. My goal is to provide a welcoming, caring, and confidential space where growth in treatment can take place. I value the collaborative nature of therapy and aim to equip you with strategies that you can use to build a meaningful and fulfilling life.

I have experience working with a variety of presenting concerns across all age groups. I am particularly interested in working with teens and adults who want to navigate trauma and enhance their ability to manage anxiety and depression through cognitive behavioral therapy. I also enjoy collaborating with parents of young children facing behavioral difficulties, utilizing parent management training strategies and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). In my practice, I employ cognitive behavioral approaches in therapy and possess additional training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Furthermore, I am trained in providing psychological evaluations to clarify concerns and assist with effective treatment planning.
