Hello, I am...

Dr. Jaima E. Walton, PsyD, HSP

I am passionate about clinical work and appreciate the opportunity to join with children and families in therapy to help them overcome current challenges and plan for future success. I have experience working with a variety of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, anger, ADHD, trauma, and behavioral difficulties. I am also trained in providing psychological evaluations to clarify concerns and assist with treatment planning. I have specialized training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for young children with behavioral problems, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for teens struggling with depression and self-harm, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for children and teens.

I strive to understand and be sensitive to the unique social, environmental, and cultural differences of children and families that I meet. I seek to provide a welcoming, caring, and confidential space for growth in treatment to take place. I believe that caregivers are imperative in the treatment of young children and work to join with parents in finding strategies to help their children be successful. I also work to support healthy parent-teen relationships while allowing teenagers privacy in therapy as they work through their individual struggles.
